Wates recruits Mitie director

13 Jan 23 Wates has appointed two directors to lead its facilities management and southern housing maintenance businesses.

Antony Collett has joined Wates from Mitie as managing director of its facilities management business.

He takes over from James Gregg, who has moved into the role of managing director of Wates Living Space (south planned) 鈥 the planned housing maintenance division for the southern region 鈥 having been managing both businesses since December 2021.

Wates delivers planned and responsive housing maintenance to more than 500,000 social housing properties under contract and facilities management services to more than 350 properties.

Antony Collett has previous held senior roles several other building maintenance contractors, including Maintenance Management, Integral UK and Verisae. For the past four years he has been a managing director at Mitie, responsible for the transformation of its technical services business.

James Gregg joined Wates in 2010 from Styles & Wood and has since had a number of roles in its fit-out and refurbishment business, ending as pre-construction and strategy director before moving on to lead the FM business in July 2016.
