Kier ÂÜÀòÔ´´ has been confirmed as one of six principle supply chain partners for the four-year £4bn Department of Health Procure22 framework, which starts in October. The other five are Balfour Beatty, Galliford Try hps, Integrated Health Projects (Vinci/McAlpine jv), Interserve and Willmott Dixon.
P22 represents the third iteration of the Department of Health framework providing design and construction services for use by the NHS and social care organisations for a range of works and services.
Kier is also one of five suppliers on two five-year construction frameworks worth up to £750m at Gatwick Airport. The frameworks cover building and civil engineering projects up to £10m as well as a smaller works framework for building projects up to £1.5m.
Thirdly, Kier has a place on the University of Cambridge’s two-year £500m framework to provide a range of facilities including laboratories, teaching and lecture spaces and sport facilities.
Kier bid for, and has been chosen for, three of the four bands available in the contractors section – bands B, C and D:
- Band B covers projects ranging from £250,000 up to £5m
- Band C schemes will be between £5m and £30m
- Band D projects are valued at £30m and above.
Kier already has a long-standing realtionship with the University of Cambridge, having delivered more than £200m of projects for it, including a new £79m research facility on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
