Kier is one of six principal supply chain partners appointed to the P21+ framework by the Department of Health and has today announced a raft of new business secured through the vehicle.
Kier has been named preferred bidder for a 拢160m contract to design and build a new critical treatment hospital for Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.聽 The new 45,000m2 campus in the borough of Basingstoke & Deane will include a new cancer treatment centre and critical pathology laboratories. Work is planned to start on site in April 2016.
The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust (MYHT) has handed Kier a 拢22m contract to reconfigure and refurbish Dewsbury & District Hospital.
Kier has also recently started work on a 拢25m contract to upgrade three hospitals in Boston, Grantham and Lincoln for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT). Work
is expected to complete by March 2016.
In addition, Kier has been appointed by two NHS Trusts as principal supply chain partner through the ProCure 21+ framework.
The Wye Valley NHS Trust (WVT) has selected Kier to deliver a 拢40m programme of reconfiguration works at Hereford County Hospital. The partnership will support the trust's clinical services strategy by increasing capacity at the hospital.
The Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has brought in Kier to deliver its future estates strategy. The first phase of this programme of works is the delivery of a new Children's, Young People & Families' project providing adolescent in-patient beds, a psychiatric intensive care unit and an in-patient perinatal unit.
