Amey wins £129m water deal

16 Dec 14 Amey has been awarded a £129m infrastructure maintenance contract by Affinity Water.

The five-year network infrastructure maintenance agreement will see Amey installing water meters as well as taking care of planned and reactive maintenance for Affinity Water.

Amey has worked with Affinity Water for the last 10 years, providing a range of clean water services including mains renewal, new supply connections to the network, mains cleaning schemes as well as installing approximately 70km of new water mains every year. It is also the sole contractor for Affinity Water in providing connections to new residential and commercial developments in its network.

Affinity Water 鈥 previously called Three Valleys Water 鈥 is the largest water-only supplier in the UK and serves parts of northwest London and northern Home Counties. It was acquired in 2012 from Veolia by a consortium led by Infracapital Partners and Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners. Infracapital is the infrastructure investment fund managed by M&G (Prudential).
